Before Tonya found Trusst, she (like most women) was wearing the wrong size bra and struggled to find something that really worked for her body. She had read an article in Pittsburgh Magazine (Women in Business 2015) and discovered that there was a local brand, founded by women, that used engineering to design bras.
When Kate E. found out about Trusst, she was searching all over the internet for plus size bra companies and she was pleasantly surprised to find one right here in Pittsburgh and run by women (from Carnegie Mellon University which is next door to The University of Pittsburgh where she attends classes). Kate ended up coming into our Pittsburgh location for a fitting and remembers how comfortable she was being surrounded by women working on this incredible product. She immediately bought 3 new bras.
Since we have asked our customers to share their stories about what redefining beauty means to them, we thought it only fair for us to share ours as well. We asked our fellow employees to tell us how they define beauty and what makes them feel their most beautiful.
Jessica P. found out about Trusst when she read an article shared on social media highlighting the brand being based in Pittsburgh. She had been on a quest to invest in a better support system for her breasts but had been wary about some of the online bra companies; bra shopping has always been either a choice between cost, comfort, and looks.
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
Meet Beth - another long time Trusst customer, who was introduced to our brand by a friend who brought her to a pop up store in 2016....Not only are Trusst bras much more comfortable, and reduce her back strain, but Beth also says, “when you put on a Trusst bra, and you’re supported, when my clothes on I feel better about entering the doorway than I did before.” Cheers to that!
