Redefining Beauty: Meet Lisa P.
Lisa P. discovered Trusst when she read about us in the Pittsburgh Business Times. She was curious about the product described because she realized it could be just the solution to her problem. The first time she tried on a Trusst bra, she looked in the mirror and said out loud “Wow, this looks great!”. She even remembers standing up a little taller. She recalls the confidence and comfort she felt that first time in a Trusst bra.
Lisa is part of our Redefining Beauty campaign - challenging the traditional perceptions of what beauty is and what it stands for. To redefine beauty means to express yourself - however it resonates to you in your life.
Hear more from our interview with Lisa:
What does beauty mean to you?
To me, beauty is more than physical. Beauty is within, it’s who you are as a person, and how you feel.
Why did you choose this place to be photographed?
I wanted to be photographed in my home because that’s where I feel most loved and that makes me feel beautiful as a person. I love being around my family. I love the joy they bring in my life. I love cooking for them which is a very nurturing and loving thing I do for my family.
I love being around my family because they love me unconditionally. I don’t have to be perfect, I can just be myself. My family makes me feel beautiful because they love me. We have a lot of love in our home and like to welcome people into our home.
What does comfort mean to you?
To me, comfort is a feeling when you can be yourself - when you can just relax and feel who you are. My Trusst bra makes me feel comfortable because I don’t have to think about my bra. I don’t have shoulder marks when I take off my bra, I don’t have wires poking into me. I don’t even have to think about it at all.
What do you do for a living? And what do you do that makes you feel confident and beautiful outside of that?
I majored in Math and I have an MBA. Right now I work in HR which is not typical with my math background, but I love what I do. I love helping people. I love making a difference in their lives and impacting the business. I love to do things that make other people happy. Even my hobbies, for example, are handmaking cards. I love to make handmade greetings cards to brighten someone’s day. I hope it brings someone joy to open a card from me and knows I’ve been thinking about them.
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
We will continue to share stories of other women like Lisa who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or share photos and tag us with #trusstyourself and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.
