Redefining Beauty: Meet Heather G.
Meet Heather - a long time Trusst customer, who was introduced to our brand by her husband when he found out we were looking for product testers. Knowing Heather’s frustration with finding bras that fit, he emailed us to sign her up. Heather is the fourth customer we are featuring through our Redefining Beauty campaign. Like others, Heather challenges the traditional perceptions of what beauty is and what it stands for. To redefine beauty means to express yourself - however it resonates to you in your life.
Heather works part time as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in Pittsburgh. She also loves to work out; she recently started lifting weights and really enjoys seeing the results in her muscle tone. Heather also spends a lot of time with her two daughters, who she brought to the shoot at our studio. They love to paint, color, dance, read, or go on family field trips to places like the Aviary or museums.
Hear more from our interview with Heather:
Trusst: What is your favorite thing about the brand and/or products?
Heather: I love the comfort and support. No lumps. No "quadroboobs." No pulling up the straps all day.
Trusst: How have Trusst bras changed your life?
Heather: I used to order my bras from overseas because they didn't sell my size in the stores. It's really expensive to return bras overseas if they don't fit. Then I ordered from Amazon. A little better, but still. They fit and I didn't have to stuff myself into a Victoria Secret DD, that they insisted was my size cause it was as big as they had, and they were a game changer at the time, but my boobs just look so much better in Trusst bras, especially the Suzanne. My absolute favorite. I feel confident in a somewhat fitted shirt because I'm not worried about having lumps or being lopsided.
Trusst: What does beauty mean to you?
Heather: So many things can be beautiful. A song, a story, nature, a painting. A person can be beautiful in a standard beauty sort of way, but a person can also become beautiful because you love them, or because they are hilarious, or because of some quirky "flaw," or because of confidence. I think that my daughters are the most beautiful things in the world. They are these fully formed tiny humans with giggles, and silliness and seriousness and thoughtfulness. And some serious confidence. My oldest daughter once announced, while twirling, "I'm the most beautiful girl in the world!"
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
We will continue to share stories of other women like Jessica who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or share photos and tag us with #trusstyourself and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.
Thanks for all of YOUR support of our brand and mission - we wouldn’t be here without you.
