Redefining Beauty: Meet Dominique B.
Last week we launched something new here at Trusst: our Redefining Beauty campaign. We’re challenging the traditional perceptions of what beauty is and what it stands for. To redefine beauty means to express yourself - however it resonates to you in your life.
Each week, we’ll feature a new Trusst customer and her story. We’ll share her thoughts on beauty, comfort, and what she loves about the Trusst brand and products. We encourage you to share your stories as well - and we’ll even feature you on the blog!
Dominique B. - our second customer feature - is a project manager by day and thespian by night. She’s also a mom to Rhea - her two year old daughter. Dominique found out about Trusst through a natural hair meetup group a few years ago. As a busty woman, Dominique says she loved the concept of the support technology, so she bought her first bras online to try in early 2018. Shortly after, she came to the showroom to learn more about the products and meet the team!
Hear more from our interview with Dominique:
Trusst: What is your favorite thing about Trusst and/or the products?
Dominique: I like the fact that there are no wires!! I like the fact that there are options for people that are bigger. I have always had an issue finding bras that were big enough, that were comfortable. The fact that Trusst actually has my size is great, and then the no wires so there’s nothing jabbing up in my side, or something like that. I think that’s one of my favorite pieces.
Trusst: What does beauty mean to you?
Dominique: I think it’s being comfortable with yourself. You love the way you look and you love the way - if you love your body and your face and your smile, then that’s beautiful. It’s not conforming to what that magazine says but I’m comfortable in my skin and the skin that I am in, and I love it, and I am happy. And I think when you can get to that point - and if you can get to that point - then that’s beautiful.
Trusst: What does being comfortable mean to you and your life?
Dominique: Soft things. Soft, fuzzy - it’s kind of like my daughter. She has an affinity for soft things, soft blankets and soft textures. It’s kind of like that. Soft leggings...just soft and warm and cuddly.
And a final word from Dominque: “Thank you for the options out there for people like myself who don’t have many.”
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
We will continue to share stories of other women like Dominique who are redefining beauty. And we welcome you to share yours as well! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or share photos and tag us with #trusststories and #redefiningbeauty and we’ll feature you in an upcoming blog post.
Thanks for all of YOUR support of our brand and mission - we wouldn’t be here without you.
