Redefining Beauty: Cheyenne A.
Cheyenne used to work for a plus-size magazine - which is how she first discovered the brand. She was looking for a size inclusive, authentic representation for plus-size women...and she found Trusst. As part of our Board of Trusstees, Cheyenne is very engaged in both our brand and products. What we really love about Cheyenne is that she is super comfortable and confident in her own skin, and it shows!

What does beauty mean to you?
I once read a quote “I don’t believe everyone is beautiful in some way - I believe everyone is beautiful in EVERY way” and that hit me so hard! I’ve been plus size my entire life so as you can imagine I got made fun of SO much. But it’s all in the mindset, it’s how you view yourself! If you talk down about yourself everyone around you will start to do the same. I know it’s easier said than done because I made jokes about my weight before other people could and that’s how I made it through the hazing of high school! But you find what makes YOU happy and what makes you feel confident and you RUN with that! Whether that’s a killer outfit, a new makeup pallet, new face cream or hell just giving yourself a day to take a bath and believe in your beauty and self worth!
What does being comfortable mean to you and your life?
I’m one of those people who find a bubble and stay in it, and it’s hard to get me “out of my comfort zone.” Than again just like I said above you’ve got to change your mindset before you can change how you think about yourself! I’m always in the gym or working in a freezer full time so you will always see me in sweatpants a comfy Trusst bra and a hoodie, and you know what I’m COMFORTABLE with who I am, what I wear, and how I strut my stuff in this world. Because you’re the only critic of your life! So something I always say is “do it afraid” because if you live your life in the what if’s or maybe one day you are not living!! Try that new store and order online, try doing a hike (even if you don’t finish) join a gym or go wear a bikini to the beach for the first time, you do you!! I mean it is YOUR life, remember that.
How did you discover Trusst?
I used to work for a magazine and we were doing a lingerie issue, so I was doing a deep Instagram dive trying to find a company that truly represented women. Not your national known companies but a startup with passion, not just money hungry! I bought a bra to test and the rest was history.
What is your favorite thing about Trusst and/or the products?
I love how Trusst is run by amazing women entrepreneurs, who truly understand the need for a plus size bra. Trusst is actually made for plus size women - not just “it comes in plus size” they truly took the time to perfect their craft and they nailed it.
What do you do on a daily basis? What builds your confidence?
I journal a lot, it’s not something I’ve always done but I found myself self-sabotaging or talking down about myself. So I started writing about everything from what I ate, if I worked out, did I bath, how I felt, etc. So journaling has changed my mindset and without building your thought process first you won’t build the confidence you need to see in yourself!
Why did you choose this spot for your photograph? What does it mean for your life/lifestyle and you?
I’m a plus size Influencer, with a big focus on fitness! So I chose my home, and the photo was taken by my amazing husband! We got married this year and bought a house together, so it’s special to me in a different way. But this is where I review products, post most of my photos from and taken by the person who takes all my Instagram photos so it’s just naturally special.
Trusst was founded by women who challenged the traditional stereotypes of bra design - through engineering, physics, and product design that is not typically seen in the lingerie industry. However, that passion for challenge extends further than just through design; it resonates in the way you live your life as well as the way you perceive yourself and others around you.
