Redefining Beauty: A Quick Recap
It’s been 3 months since we launched our Redefining Beauty campaign, which has given us the opportunity to shine a light on 12 incredibly inspiring women (so far), including our very own founder, Sophia. Through this, we have solidified the fact that women are just downright impressive. Not only are we smart, successful, funny, interesting, and strong, but we are also nurturing, brave, determined, and honestly so much more to even list out. We’re mothers, daughters, employees, entrepreneurs, and everything in between.
Because we recognize that women are more than just one thing, we also know that each and every woman has her own opinions about what beauty means to her. Each woman we interviewed had a different idea of what makes her feel most beautiful and confident...which we love!
This past weekend we hosted an event in New York for International Women’s Day - where we met with local influencers, bloggers, and customers - and the feedback we received was invaluable. The biggest takeaway (and compliment!) from our conversations was the fact that women love our brand because our technology is so fundamentally different from any other bra out there. Real talk - our bras actually do what we say they’re going to do - which is provide comfort and relief from the daily struggles of having a larger bust. This is because we spent years designing our support technology - conducting interviews, creating prototypes, gathering feedback, and then repeating the process all over again until we solidified on a design that worked. A lot of brands can offer a great fit, but that’s only part of the battle. Support - actual support - is crucial for us busty ladies. And actual support doesn’t come from bigger underwires and more fabric. It requires a product that is different from anything else out there - specifically engineered with a task at hand. To us, your bra is the most important element of your outfit - it sets the mood for the day, completes your outfit, and builds your confidence. It should work for you, not the other way around.
As women who experience the struggles of having a larger bust first hand, we strive to give this underserved community of D+ women a bra that is actually different than anything they have experienced. We’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can continue to support you and become your biggest resource and confidant.
